​My study abroad program in Central America was life changing for me. I spent three months traveling in Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica living in rural communities and working with environmentally focused non-profits. We worked on projects that implemented sustainable solutions in impoverished communities. I had the chance to work with very inspiring organizations that are working to help people and the environment. After my experience abroad I believe I want to work with non-profits to build communities and relocalizing our food system.
